Weils hier das Problem so selten gab misch ich mit meinem mal mit :roll:

sorry, ich muss passen...dsa scheint tief drinzustecken. hab nur das hier gefunden:

und ne weile etwas auf der opengl seite rumgelesen, aber nix gefunden.


Die openGL Version 1.1.0 ist auch komisch, deine Karte müsste mindestens 2.0 bis evtl. sogar 3.2 hardwaretechnisch unterstützen. Irgendwas stimmt auf jeden fall mit den treiber ganz und garnicht. Da du aber schon ein Treiberaufräum-tool drübergeballert hast, seh ich fast keine andere lösung, als XP neu zu installieren (...man wie ich sowas hasse).

Ich würd noch ein paar andere Treiberaufräum-tools ausprobieren und DX neu installieren, nachdem der neuste NVIDIA Treiber installiert wurde, nicht davor. Registry-aufräum-tool evtl. auch mal laufen lassen, nach der Treiberdeinstallation und dem Treiberaufräumer, aber nicht vergessen, die Registry vorher zu sichern, man weiß ja nie. Dann check außerdem mal, ob die Datei C:\WINDOWS\system32\opengl32.dll weg ist danach, die scheint mir das Problem zu sein, bzw. die holt immer ne uralt version der icd (der opengl treiber) hervor -> da sind auf jeden fall irgendwo treiberleichen...nur wo ist die frage.
Ticket bei NVIDIA aufmachen wäre auch noch eine Idee, aber ansonsten:
sichern, Installations CD rein und alles neue macht der mai....geht meistens schneller bei win, als zu versuchen den fehler selber zu finden, oder gar sich auf den support von nvidia, oder MS zu verlassen...leider.

Aber openGL Spiele, vor allem Q3 basierte (wie RTCW) laufen unter linux sowieso mit viel mehr FPS als unter win (leider nutzen das viel zu wenige Programmierer) - also installier dir doch nen linux, da hat man mehr chancen fehler selber zu finden, oder mit hilfe der community ;-)

ATI beschreibt die Vorgehensweise zur vollständigen Treiber-Deinstallation eigentlich immer folgendermaßen:
Zusatzsoftware und dann Treiber über "Software" deinstallieren.
Herunterfahren, im Abgesicherten Modus starten, überprüfen, ob die Einträge unter "Software" verschwunden sind, wenn ja: Grafikkarte(n) im Gerätemanager entfernen, eventuell noch Ordner löschen.
Neustart in den normalen Modus, Dialog zur Installation neuer Hardware wegklicken, neuen Treiber installieren.

Ich würde auch mal ältere Treiber-Versionen ausprobieren. Insbesondere die, die mit der Karte mitgeliefert wurde. Bei meinen ATI-Karten wirkt das oft Wunder.

Danke Rhino Cracker, ich wusste nämlich nicht was 'OpenGL Extension Viewer' so alles anzeigen sollte (hab ja kein Windows®).

Daran sieht man das Ulnar keine 3D-Beschleunigung hat, sonst hätte er bei weitem mehr Erweiterungen (Extensions) aufgelistet.
Nachdem er den Treiber schon aktualisiert hat, vermute ich ebenfalls Treiberleichen die sich mit dem aktuellen Treiber nicht vertragen. Unter Windows® ist das bereinigen echt schwierig, da der User nicht weis, wo überall Dateien liegen die da stören könnten.
Kann dir da nur viel Glück wünschen.

PS: oder wie Mayhem auch schrieb: installier dir ein Linux (vorzugsweise Debian oder Ubuntu) neben Windows®.
Wenn du dich mal ans arbeiten mit dem Pinguin gewöhnt hast, fährst du Win nur noch zum zocken hoch wenn die Spiele unter Linux nicht laufen.

Mir ist gerade noch was aufgefallen:
Es sieht vor Allem so aus, als wäre seine Graka garnicht als OGL fähiges Gerät eingetragen.
Ich konnte in diesem Viewer zwischen diesem GDI Generic und meiner eigentlichen Grafikkarte auswählen, standardmäßig war diese auch ausgewählt.
Wenn er diese Auswahlmöglichkeit nicht hat, würde ich mal an der Stelle weitersuchen.

Ich hatte z.B. schon Programme, die virtuelle Grafikkarten nutzen, die eigentlich deaktiviert sind, die sich jedoch bei fehlerhafter Deaktivierung als bevorzugtes Gerät für OpenGL-Gammaänderungen eingetragen lassen, kurz: ET bringt SetDeviceGammaRamp failed., weil die deaktivierte virtuelle Grafikkarte nicht auf den Befehl reagiert. ^^

Von daher einfach mal Video-Capturing-Programme (Fraps, VNC, ...) untersuchen, ob da vielleicht was nicht stimmt.



Ich würde mich aber wirklich mit dem Gedanken anfreunden, das System neu aufzubauen (das Finden der Ursache dieses Gamma-Fehlers hat ne gute Woche in Anspruch genommen).
Ein letztes Schritt davor wäre noch das erstellen eines neuen Profils. Es gibt verdammt viele kleine destruktive Einstellungen, die dabei nicht mit übertragen werden. :)

Nachdem seit dem letzte Treiberupdate (Das im Post erwähnte) Borderlands lustige 2 Sekunden hänger alle 30-50 Sekunden bekommen hat hab ich den Rat befolgt und das System einfach neu aufgesetzt.

Problem damit 'gelöst' :roll:

Im Nachhinein drängt sich mir der Verdacht auf, dass es am Treiber der alten Grafikkarte lag welche zwar einen ATI Chipsatz hat aber anscheinend mit einem ASUS spezifischen Treiber rannte - danach hatte ich allerdings bei den Treiberresten nicht gesucht, nur die 'üblichen Verdächtigen' :x
